This is a lifetime qualification, which means that it will not expire, and holders will be considered professionally competent for the rest of their lives. However, DVSA MOT Testers will be required to complete the DVSA Annual Training Requirements each year and the DVSA can withdraw Tester Status if conditions are not met.
Course duration is 4 days with a minimum of 8 hours practical training.
Over the 4 days you will receive 29 hours of guided learning, of which 8 hours will consist of practical training. Once you have passed the online assessment at the end of day 4, we’ll visit your place of work and carry out a Practical Assessment of you completing an MOT Test, this will take an additional 2-3 hours.
We recommend that you practice your MOT Test routine for 2 weeks before we visit to carry out the practical assessment.
Members of The MOT Club receive a substantial discount on all of our training courses. Why not join The Club today to save money on your Training?
